Peckerwood Garden Conservation Foundation is having a Volunteer Open House at the Garden on Saturday, January 18th, 2020 from 11:30 a.m. -1:30 p.m.

Please join us for lunch, learn about the various available volunteer opportunities and meet garden enthusiasts like yourself.

Volunteer: Have Fun!

No worries – most jobs do not require special skills and we do provide training. Check out some of the volunteer jobs which might appeal.

  • General garden – weeding, trimming, trail maintenance
  • Greenhouse projects – potting, propagation, labeling, general maintenance
  • Nursery – general maintenance, sales
  • Basic carpentry
  • Beekeeping
  • Events – welcome guests, assist with onsite registration, plant sales and memberships
  • Office – input volunteer hours, file and supplies maintenance, other tasks as needed
  • Docent – Teaching visitors about the garden can be as simple as answering questions about a few plants in a small section of the garden or as detailed as leading site-wide tours. Either way, it’s a very rewarding experience.

This is a free event, but registration is required so we know how many will be joining us for lunch. Please note: our volunteers must be 18 or older.

Sign up to volunteer. A member of our staff will contact you to with further details and to learn more about your interests.
