Abutilon x ‘Biltmore Ballgown’

Biltmore Ball Gown Abutilon – Of all the flowering plants in our nursery, this is the one that has visitors doing the most double-takes. At first you're likely to notice the maple-leaf shaped foliage that sits prettily atop the rounded crown of the shrub. Upon second glance, your eyes will be drawn to the unique yellow and red flowers that hang pendulously from the branches, looking much like the patterned skirt of a southern belle. Originally introduced to horticulture by the Biltmore Estate, this hardy Hibiscus relative has claimed the hearts of many gardeners across the south, and we are no different. This die-back perennial shrub grows up to 4 feet tall and maintains an airy, upright growth habit. Plant in full or part sun, and keep well watered.
