Yellow Bells / Esperanza – A must-have for anyone who loves long-lived blooms. This flowering shrub is a die-back perennial in our climate, but that doesn't stop it from putting on a show-stopping display of bright yellow flowers and vibrant green foliage every year from spring through fall. It's also a fan-favorite amongst the hummingbirds, as the tubular shape of the flowers is specially designed for their long tongues to drink up the nectar. This plant was originally collected by John Fairey in Huasteca Canyon in Nuevo Leon, Mexico in 1995, and it has not stopped showing off since. You can find this planted right in front of our sales nursery, nestled amonst the bull rock, where it recieves very little irrigation.
