This mauve blooming Orchid Tree was originally collected by John Fairey and Carl Schoenfeld in 1999 in La Bufa Diente in Mexico. The foliage is small and delicate, maintaining that characteristic butterfly shape, and is found upon slender branches that grow up to 15 feet tall at maturity. The orchid-shaped flowers are a deep pink to mauve color and are beloved by native butterflies and hummingbirds. Plant in full to part sun and in well-draining soil.
