Join us on Saturday, April 25th from 10 am to 12 pm for the Texas Native Plant Walk led by Ashlyn Mashburn, JFG Nursery Manager and Horticulturist.

When you hear “Texas native plants” you may think, “Bluebonnet,” or maybe, “Indian Paintbrush;” but planting natives means more than just wildflowers. During this event, Ashlyn will walk you through the garden and highlight the wide range of available Texas natives from across the state; from the dry plains of West Texas, to the limestone hills of Central Texas, to the piney woods of East Texas. Like what you see? After the tour, join us in the sales nursery and find just the right Texas native for your yard. (1.5 – 2 hrs)

The Garden will also be open for docent-guided tours at 10, 11, and 1 pm. Members may stroll the Garden at their leisure from 9-3. Nursery will also be open from 9-3.
