Squid Agave – This spineless woody lily was originally collected by John Fairey in 1991 in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, where he later returned to make a second collection in 2005. The Squid Agave sports bright green leaves that gracefully swoop down to the ground, adding a unique form to the landscape. This species produces a moderate amount of pups, and if left undisturbed will create a nice colony of clones within a few years. This Agave does well in both full and part sun, and is very cold and drought tolerant. To maintain the intense green color, fertilize in the spring.
