Bugleherb – A reliable running groundcover that is native to much of the Old World. The foliage of this herbaceous perennial range from dark green to purple, and it produces 8 inch tall flower spikes containing light lavender blooms throughout late spring and early summer. This plant quickly produces runners that root into the ground, eventually creating a dense mat of groundcover, making it a fantastic addition to crevice gardens, stepping stone pathways, or other garden spaces in need of a pop of color. Plant in part shade (morning light only, protect from the afternoon sun), or in dappled light beneath the canopy. This plant prefers somewhat moist soil, so keep it well watered during the summer!
