Whitebrush – A slender woody perennial native to Texas. After deep summer and fall rains, this large shrub becomes covered in airy white blooms that have a strong floral-vanilla fragrance. The foliage is small and airy, giving the plant a desert/xeric appearance. Growing up to 10 feet tall, this shrub definitely needs to be given some room to live up to its full potential, but it can easily be pruned into smaller shapes and forms if needed. Plant in full sun and in well-draining soil. Whitebrush is drought tolerant but will perform best if it is semi-regularly irrigated throughout the summer.
