Sweet Almond Verbena

Sweet Almond Verbena – One of the best smelling plants that we sell (at least, in our opinion)! This perennial shrub grows up to 12 feet tall when planted in ideal conditions, with large green leaves that have a sandpaper texture. In early summer, small white flowers appear all over the bush, carrying a very sweet fragrance that dances on the breeze and invites you in for a closer sniff. These yummy flowers persist until mid fall, giving you a wonderfully long bloom period to enjoy. In our climate, this bush is not fully cold hardy, so we recommend cutting it back to the ground in late winter (but don't worry, it can still grow back up to its full size in a single year). Plant in full sun and in well-draining soil. Throughout the summer, this large shrub will need regular waterings, so be sure to keep the soil around it relatively moist, especially in the hotter months.
