Harland Boxwood – Any manicured garden is incomplete without a well-pruned boxwood! John Fairey used many different types of boxwoods throughout the Garden to provide structure and form. Called Boxwoods because of their traditional use as a hedge plant, they are actually quite versatile in the landscape. These shrubs can be pruned into nearly any shape imaginable, and in our Garden they are often shaped into rounded, upright hedges. The evergreen foliage is petite but dense, and offers a beautiful contrast to the winding white trunks. Plant in part shade, and in well draining soil.
