Gregg's Ash – A beautiful semi-evergreen tree native to the Trans-Pecos region of Texas. When regularly watered, this multi-trunked tree can grow up to nearly 20 feet tall, but in its native habitat it is usually seen in a shorter, scrubby form. The branches are slim and windy, supporting small bright green leaves that give the canopy an airy look, which helps provide light dappled shade for anything planted beneath it. This tree is extremely drought tolerant, needing very little supplemental watering even in summer, making it a valuable addition for xeric gardens. Plant in full sun and in very well-draining, rocky/sandy soil.
