Forest Green Anise – This broadleafed evergreen has fragrant foliage that grows densely in the shade. Growing up to 8-10 feet tall, the Forest Green Anise is the perfect choice for privacy screens, hedges, or as a general ornamental evergreen. Over time, it will produce root suckers that grow quickly and create a dense tangle of branches, which provides a protective habitat for native birds and small mammals. In early summer, you might be pleasantly surprised to find small yellow-green flowers adorning the canopy, only about an inch wide. Plant in part or full shade and in moist soils.
