Muhlenbergia x ‘Pink Flamingo’

Pink Flamingo Muhly Grass – This grass is one of the great prides of our garden! John Fairey himself discovered this grass in the garden one day during an evening walk, and determined it to be a naturally occurring cross between the Muhlenbergia capillaris and Muhlenbergia lindheimeri that he had planted in the garden. As a result, Muhlenbergia x ‘Pink Flamingo’ is a wonderful blue-toned grass that produces upright, airy plumes of pink flowers in mid fall. Thanks to John’s passion for sharing plants, this grass is now planted widely across Texas, and is even popular in many other states across the country. Plant in full sun and watch it thrive.
