Odontonema strictum ‘Rosea’

Pink Firespike

Pink Firespike – An alluring pink cultivar of the popular red Firespike. Native to southern Mexico, Pink Firespike is a die-back perennial with large oval leaves, growing up to 10 feet at maturity. From spring through fall, bright magenta flower stalks emerge from the top of the plant, creating a very tropical look in the landscape. To create a dense and lush appearance, plant in full sun and water moderately. Pink Firespike can go a reasonable amount of time between watering, but be sure to increase irrigation during the hottest parts of summer. This plant looks incredible when planted among Canna, Elephant Ears, and other tropical plants!
