Weeping Buddleja

Weeping Buddleja – An intriguing weeping shrub native to China, this bush is sure to give you neighborhood bragging rights. In late summer, long cascading racemes of light pink flowers emerge, reminiscent of lemur tails. These little blooms are much beloved by the native bees and butterflies and persist for most of early fall. In winter, the leaves will drop, but the branches are cold hardy and new foliage will reemerge in the spring. To get the best color show possible, prune your Weeping Buddleja lightly in late winter, as it will only bloom on the new years growth. Plant in full sun and keep moist through the summer!
