Eyelash Sage – A stunning sage collected by John Fairey in Mexico. The foliage is dark green, sometimes with purple margins when the plant becomes stressed, and has deep burgundy colored stems. In late spring through fall, vivid red flowers emerge from the top of the plant, making a wonderful food source for butterflies and hummingbirds. At maturity, this herbaceous perennial is about 1-2 feet tall and 2 feet wide, making it a great candidate for smaller yards, crevice gardens, or simply those with limited planting space. In winter, Eyelash Sage will die back to the ground but reliably reemerges in early spring. Plant in part shade, particularly in an area that gets morning sun but afternoon shade. Plant in well-draining soil and irrigate regularly.
