Andean Sage – One of the most unique sages that we’ve ever seen, native to the Andes mountains in South America. This small perennial only grows to be about 1 foot tall and 2 feet wide at maturity, making it ideal for small yards, containers, or those with limited planting space. The foliage is a stunning silver, and is slightly sticky when touched. However, the blooms are the really incredible part of this plant. Throughout the summer, medium sized dark purple flowers emerge, so dark that they appear almost black, and are held inside of bright silver bracts. This amazing color contrast makes it a very valuable ornamental plant, and would be a unique choice for moon gardens, bed borders, or color gardens. Plant in full or part sun and keep well-watered, especially in the summer.
