Salvia uliginosa

Bog Sage – A fast-growing sage native to South America. As the name suggests, the Bog Sage thrives in wet environments, making it a perfect candidate for rain gardens or drainage ditches. In mid spring, small electric-blue blooms emerge atop flower stalks and are frequented by some of our smaller pollinators. Bog Sage reproduces through rhizomes under the soil, eventually creating a 3-4 foot wide clump, with foliage that grows up to 3 feet tall. Plant in full sun and in moist soil. Bog Sage can handle drier climates, but might produce less flowers as a result.
